Excess
Access is a system that matches business and household item donations
with the wish lists of nonprofits that can provide pick-ups or will accept
drop offs. We
serve throughout US, Canada and beyond.
First,
you click on Register
/ Sign Up and provide your location, then you
post your items or wishes. We do all the matching, in-house, 24/7. There
is an annual $5 flat fee for all participants. See
why we charge (so little).
Recipients
(nonprofits) are alerted, by potential match emails,
to donations nearby that conveniently match their wish lists.
Recipients reserve items of interest. Donors have the
right to cancel or confirm reservations.
Recipients
are responsible for pick-up (unless the donors urgently
want to drop-off). Excess Access provides follow-through emails to make
the process easy. And we send tax-deductible receipts/ Thank You letter
emails with the nonprofit's tax exempt data to both donor and nonprofit/recipient
once members click on the picked-up / dropped-off link.
Recipients:
can update / edit / add / delete limitless wishes at any time.
Donors: can update / edit / add / delete limitless donation
postings at any time
We
have over 81% successful matching rate, but can't offer any guarantees
except that we try our hardest to help you and our environment by keeping
useful materials out of garbage dumps and getting them into the hands
