If I'm an Individual (not a business) subscriber, who gets access to my home address?

For individuals and household subscribers, when our records show that a potential recipient has reserved your donation through us, we only provide your e-mail and phone number.

The organization that has reserved your donation will contact you to discuss the item(s). Together, you can make mutually convenient and secure arrangements for the item(s) transfer.

Also, donors can always cancel a reservation. If you have concerns, check in with us at customer service. We can tell you any history we have on the recipient (track record of satisfactory, previous transactions). Other suggestions include choosing to drop the donation off yourself, having someone with you at the time of pick-up, or requiring that the recipient use an established and insured moving company.

We're proud to report that there has never been a single safety incident regarding donation pick-ups, only happy thank you notes! Philanthropy attracts good karma.

What if I don't want my contact info on the web or in mailing lists?

Don't worry. Our database is for in-house use only. We do not allow access to, or sell, subscriber information. See our Privacy Policy. Subscribers will only be contacted regarding a potential match for a currently listed donation or wish.
